Last night Pennon Group won the Achievement in Sustainability Award at the annual PLC Awards at a ceremony in London. The awards laud the achievements of small and medium sized companies trading on the London Stock Exchange. The panel of judges included fund managers, brokers and other city professionals.
This prestigious award recognises accomplishments in key areas of economic, environmental and social sustainability.
Pennon Group received this award for the sustainable activities of South West Water and Viridor. Judges highlighted a range of business areas including renewable energy power generation at waste water treatment works and landfill gas control as well as providing significant funding for community and environmental projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.
