Pennon has hosted its latest engagement meeting with customers in Bristol to hear their views and discuss the company’s record investment in the region.

Last month’s WaterShare+ meeting was the latest quarterly event staged across the Greater South West to give customers more say in how the company and its water businesses - Bristol Water, South West Water and Bournemouth Water – are run.

Pennon’s unique WaterShare+ scheme offers customers a share in the business. One in 14 customers are now shareholders across Pennon, with ambitions to make that one in ten customers by 2030.

A number of Pennon senior executives, including Chief Executive Officer Susan Davy, were on hand at Bristol’s UWE to update on the company’s ambitious £2.8 billion investment plan for 2025-30, which features new treatment works and reservoirs.

Customers were also able to meet teams from across the business to find out how they could reduce their bills, sign up to the company’s range of work experience and apprenticeship opportunities, and learn more about how the water network operates around Bristol.

Susan Davy, Pennon’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “I’m very clear that the best way to build trust with customers is to give them a stake and a say in their local water company.

“We are investing record amounts in the region and it’s right that our customers have the chance to talk to us about both performance and our plans - the good and what we can do better. I would like to thank everyone who came for making it such a valuable afternoon.”
